6. Update the VSA modulator-control unit if it does not have the latest software See: Brakes and Traction Control/Antilock Brakes / Traction
Control Systems/Traction Control Module/Testing and Inspection. If the unit already has the latest software, substitute a known-good VSA
modulator-control unit See: Brakes and Traction Control/Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems/Traction Control Module/Service and
Repair.
7. Test-drive the vehicle at 31 mph (50 km/h) or more.
NOTE: Drive the vehicle on the road, not on a lift.
8. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC 21, 22, 23, or 24 indicated?
YES -
Check for loose terminals in the VSA modulator-control unit 46P connector. If the VSA modulator-control unit was updated, substitute a
known-good VSA modulator-control unit See: Brakes and Traction Control/Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems/Traction Control
Module/Testing and Inspection. If a known-good VSA modulator-control unit was substituted, replace the appropriate hub bearing unit if it has not
been replaced.

If the VSA modulator-control unit was updated, troubleshooting is complete. If the VSA modulator-control unit was substituted, replace the
original VSA modulator-control unit See: Brakes and Traction Control/Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems/Traction Control
Module/Testing and Inspection. If any other DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTCs troubleshooting.?

DTC 25:
Yaw Rate Sensor Stabilizing Malfunction
NOTE: If DTC 112 is stored at the same time as DTC 25, troubleshoot DTC 112 first, then recheck for DTC 25.
1. Check for VSA system DTCs with the HDS.
Are any DTCs indicated?
YES -
Troubleshoot the indicated VSA system DTC(s).?
NO -
Go to step 2.
2. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
3. Test-drive the vehicle at 25 mph (40 km/h) or more with the ACC activated, and watch the ACC indicator.
Does the ACC indicator come on?
YES -
Go to step 4.
NO -
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.?
4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
