Update the PCM See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Engine Control Module/Testing and Inspection/Programming and
Relearning/PCM Update, if it does not have the latest software, or substitute a known-good PCM, and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes
away, replace the original PCM See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Engine Control Module/Service and Repair.?
NO -
Repair an open in the wire between the audio-navigation unit and the PCM, and recheck.?

DTC 1402:
Audio Error 2 (CD Error)
NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General
Diagnostics/Battery Test.
- This navigation DTC sets when the audio-navigation unit detects a mechanical malfunction in the audio disc changer.
- Check any official Honda service website for more service information about the navigation system.
- This navigation DTC applies to the CD/DVD player, not the RES.
- Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the general troubleshooting information See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Navigation
System/Testing and Inspection/Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview/How to Troubleshoot the Navigation System.
1. Check that the temperature is between -4 掳F (-20 掳C), below 158 掳F (70 掳C) in the dash.
2. Clear the hard error code.
3. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and then back to ON (II).
4. Check for the hard error code.
Is DTC 1402 indicated?
YES -
Replace the audio-navigation unit See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Radio, Stereo, and Compact Disc/Service and
Repair/Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation.?
NO -
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. If the vehicle repeatedly comes back with the DTC, replace the audio-navigation unit See:
Accessories and Optional Equipment/Radio, Stereo, and Compact Disc/Service and Repair/Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation.?
