10 Things To Do at the Honda Indy

It’s a Motorfest, Adrenalinefest, Beerfest and Foodfest. I feel as though I should have called this article, “10 Reasons to Buy Tickets to the Honda Indy Toronto,” because after you read this to-do list, I’m positive you will want to buy passes. Here are 10 awesome things going down at this year’s Honda Indy:

Walk through the Paddocks

Fans with Paddock Passes will have the opportunity to walk through the racer’s paddock area where the cars are prepared. If you have Paddock Passes, you will be able to wander through and check out the different team transporters.

?Party like a Race-Star

On Friday, June 12th at 7:30pm is the Official Driver’s Party! The party will be held at Muzik Nightclub (located at the Exhibition Place; 15 Saskatchewan Road). If you buy tickets to the event (www.muzikclubs.com), you will have the chance to party with some of racing’s biggest stars. Muzik is the perfect venue for this party because it overlooks Turn 6 on the Honda Indy racetrack.

?On the Track

The Honda Indy is a 7 series race. There are 7 different types of races going on throughout the weekend, including practice races. It’s an action packed weekend filled with adrenaline. For more information on what races are at the Honda Indy Toronto.

It’s a Honda World

Honda Canada will have a huge “Honda World” on site. It’s a big interactive exhibit that will have plenty of games and activities. To find out what kind of activities, you need to go to the Indy and experience them for yourself!

Honda Junior Red Riders

This is ridiculously cool! Honda World will feature their Honda Junior Red Riders program. Kids can actually hop on the back of a dirt bike and learn how to ride it with proper instruction.

Food Festival

With all of these attractions and the race going in full speed, you will not want to go far to get food… and you won’t have to! The Indy will have its own little food fest featuring awesome food trucks from all over Toronto. Whether you want a burger, poutine, or a sandwich; there is a truck for every craving!

Have no fear, Beer is here!

The Indy actually hosts its own mini Beerfest! Between the sun and the heat the engines give off, you will probably crave an ice cold brew. This year is the first the Indy will have a full-site license and a central beer garden. An entire area will be sectioned off and devoted to beer for guests to enjoy responsibly.

Meet and Greet!

If you are a big racing fan, you have the chance to meet some of the racers like Helio Castroneves, Scott Dixon, and Marco Andretti… to name a few. Bring your favourite picture, hat or any kind of memorabilia and get it signed.

THE TREWS.

During the pre-race ceremony, each individual driver will be introduced. Some will even stop on the track and do a quick Q&A with the ceremony’s host! Afterwards, racers jump into the back of a Honda Ridgeline and do a parade lap around the track before it starts. At this year’s ceremony, The Trews will be singing the national anthem!

?Drivers…START YOUR ENGINES!

At 3:30pm on Sunday, June 14th is the highly anticipated IndyCar race. The whole weekend leads up to this battle and only one car will come out on top!
