1. Check the MIL on the gauge control module See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Initial
Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.
Does the MIL stay on?
YES -
Go to the PGM-FI system's general troubleshooting information See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Testing and
Inspection/Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.?
NO -
Go to step 2.
2. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
3. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), then wait for 10 seconds.
4. Press the MAIN switch ON.
5. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC 110 indicated?
YES -
Go to step 6.
NO -
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.?
6. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
7. Disconnect the ACC unit 20P connector.
8. Jump the SCS line with the HDS, then disconnect PCM connector A (49P) See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control
Systems/Engine Control Module/Service and Repair.
9. Check for continuity between ACC unit 20P connector terminal No. 10 and PCM connector A (49P) terminal No. 48
