Navigation System DTC Troubleshooting: 1403
DTC 1403:
Audio Error 3 (Display Error)
NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General
Diagnostics/Battery Test.
- This navigation DTC sets when a mechanical malfunction in the navigation display is detected.
- Check any official Honda service website for more service information about the navigation system.
- Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the general troubleshooting information See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Navigation
System/Testing and Inspection/Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview/How to Troubleshoot the Navigation System.
1. Check that the temperature is between -4 掳F (-20 掳C), below 158 掳F (70 掳C) in the passenger's cabin.
2. Clear the hard error code.
3. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and then back to ON (II).
4. Check for the hard error code.
Is DTC 1403 indicated?
YES -
Replace the navigation display unit See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Navigation System/Navigation Display/Service and Repair.?
NO -
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. If the vehicle repeatedly comes back with the DTC, replace the navigation display unit See:
Accessories and Optional Equipment/Navigation System/Navigation Display/Service and Repair.?

DTC 1404:
Audio Error 4 (DVD Error)
NOTE:

- This navigation DTC sets when there is a problem with the DVD player.
- Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the general troubleshooting information See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Navigation
System/Testing and Inspection/Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview/How to Troubleshoot the Navigation System.
