DTC B1255:



Combination Switch Control Unit Lost Communication with MICU (MICU Message)



NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A See: Powertrain



Management/Computers and Control Systems/Information Bus/Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics/Troubleshooting



- B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A.



1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.



2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).



3. Wait for at least 6 seconds.



4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.



Is DTC B1255 indicated?



YES -



Go to step 5.



NO -



Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections between the combination switch control unit and the



MICU.?



5. Check for DTCs with the HDS.



Are DTCs B1055, B1157, B1806, B1955, and B2155 also indicated?



YES -



Do the MICU input test See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Information Bus/Testing and Inspection/Component Tests



and General Diagnostics/MICU Input Test.?



NO -



Do the combination switch control unit input test See: Wiper and Washer Systems/Testing and Inspection/Wiper/Washer Switch (Combination



Switch Control Unit) Input Test.?

DTC B1275:



Combination Light Switch OFF Position Circuit Malfunction



DTC B1276:



Combination Light Switch Parking Light Position Circuit Malfunction



DTC B1277:



Headlight Switch AUTO Position Circuit Malfunction



DTC B1278:



Headlight Switch ON Position Circuit Malfunction

1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.



2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).



3. Operate each combination light switch position for at least 2 seconds, then turn the combination light switch OFF.
