Combination Light Switch OFF Position Circuit Malfunction
DTC B1276:
Combination Light Switch Parking Light Position Circuit Malfunction

Headlight Switch AUTO Position Circuit Malfunction

Headlight Switch ON Position Circuit Malfunction
NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A See: Powertrain

- B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A.
1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).
3. Operate each combination light switch position for at least 2 seconds, then turn the combination light switch OFF.
4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC B1275, B1276, B1277 and/or B1278 indicated?
YES -
Go to step 5.
NO -
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.?
5. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
6. Do the combination light switch test See: Lighting and Horns/Sensors and Switches - Lighting and Horns/Combination Switch/Service and
Repair and check for open or short in the combination light switch terminals in each switch position.
Is the combination light switch OK?
YES -
Faulty combination switch control unit, replace the wiper/washer switch.?
NO -
Replace the combination light switch.?
