- B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A.
1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).
3. Wait for at least 6 seconds.
4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Are DTCs B2155, B2156, and/or B2161 indicated?
YES -
Go to step 5.
NO -
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections between the driver's MPCS unit and the MICU.?
5. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Are DTCs B1055, B1057, B1157, B1159, B1255, B1355, B1806, B1810, B1811, and/or B1955 also indicated?
YES -
Faulty MICU, replace the under-dash fuse/relay box See: Maintenance/Fuses and Circuit Breakers/Fuse Block/Service and Repair/Under-Dash
Fuse/Relay Box Removal and Installation.?
NO -
Do the driver's MPCS unit input test See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Information Bus/Testing and
Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics/Drivers MPCS Unit Input Test.?
